These magical sponges make a great alternative to plastic sponges or sea sponges (made from living creatures!). Perfect for applying facial washes, cleansers and toners or makeup. These silky-soft sponges are even gentle enough for babies.

Artificial, synthetic sponges are frequently made from polyurethane foam. Along with releasing ozone-depleting chemicals during manufacturing, polyurethane can also emit formaldehyde, other irritants and cancer-causing dioxins when incinerated. Sea sponges are not much of a better solution, environmentally. According to the Australian Marine Conservation Society, sea sponges are under threat of extinction for a variety of reasons including over-harvesting.

To Use:
Initially, the Konjac sponge will appear hard but when soaked in water it will become soft and spongy.
Apply a little pressure and use in circular motions on face or body.
The sponge should not be wrung out but should be allowed to dry naturally.
Sponges should be replaced every 2-3 months.
Sponges can be home composted after use.

Best Features:
Free from any packaging
Completely plastic free and compostable after use
Silky Soft and long lasting
Making this switch from sea sponges can help save marine life

Why Lucy Loves

When it comes to skincare, natural is always the most sustainable option. These sponges are long lasting and completely plastic free which is why I love them. They come on a handy string which means you can hang dry with ease. Choosing to buy natural sponges over sea sponges will help reduce the number of sea sponges destroyed.

About The Brand

Tabitha Eve is focused on sustainable and eco friendly products for your skin care regime.

Debbie, their founder, started her own personal war against wastefulness and plastic pollution when travelling and diving the seas of Borneo. Confronted by a plastic island that was home to the precious sea life she had travelled so far to seek out she vowed to try and do her bit. She created products to replace her disposable kitchen ware, and soon others were asking for some in order to help them do their bit too... and so Tabitha Eve was born.

Our mission is to provide eco-friendly alternatives to single-use household items, or everyday products that might otherwise be made of plastic. Our ultimate goal is to make it the norm for everyone to buy reusable. We have a gorgeous selection of earth-friendly items for kitchen, bathroom and baby, as well as some beautiful gift ideas!
